Application to Sponsor Family
All applications must first begin with the application to be approved as a sponsor. The following forms must be completed:
Application to be Approved as a Sponsor
Sponsoring a Spouse, Common-law Partner, Conjugal Partner and Dependent Children

You can apply from within Canada or from abroad.
If the application is carried out within Canada the person being sponsored must be in Canada legally and maintain their status for the duration of the application. Applications made from within Canada cannot be appealed if rejected whereas applications made from outside Canada can be.
Application Fees
Sponsorship application - $75
Principal applicant (person being sponsored) - $475 or $75 if they are not a spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner
Each family member 22 years old, or a spouse or common-law partner (not age dependent) - $550
Each family member under 22 years old and not a spouse or common-law partner - $150
Right of permanent resident - $975
All funds are shown in Canadian dollars.
