Provincial Nomination - Saskatchewan

Health workers employers are being encouraged to expand their horizons and look to skilled immigrants to fill vacant but vital employment gaps in their companies. Physicians, nurses and other health professionals are in high demand, and applications under these job titles are welcomed by the province.

There are particular requirements for those health workers who might apply. One academic year of post-secondary education or one year of job specific training is necessary. Many applicants might have both.

Those with a full time offer of employment within the province and those who identify business opportunities in the area are also highly desired by the nomination programme authority. In attempts to enhance the economic viability of the province, many moves have been made to broaden the accessibility of the province to potential immigrants.  Even those who have made signed offers to purchase land for farming have a specific and direct route to application.  Students who have post-graduation work experience or job offers from Saskatchewan employers also make up a considerable portion of the successful applications.

Applications are considered fairly quickly and tend not to be as long drawn out as most federal programme application processes. For advice and assistance, the province also offers a comprehensive series of contact details, for advice via phone and email.
