Skilled Worker Applications

To apply as a Skilled Worker you need to consider where to live and work in Canada. Different areas of the country have differing requirements for jobs and skills and this can affect your application and settlement after arriving in Canada.

Some applicants may be required to pass a medical examination.

All people coming to Canada must meet the basic entry requirements.

IMM 0008 - Application for Permanent Residence in Canada

IMM 0008 - Schedule 1: Background/Declaration

IMM 5406 - Additional Family Information (if applicable)

One of the following:

IMM 0008 - Schedule 3: Economic Classes (Federal Skilled Workers)

IMM 0008 - Schedule 4: Economic Classes (Provincial Nominees)

IMM 0008 - Schedule 5: Economic Classes (Quebec Skilled Workers)

Application Fees

The fees to apply as a Skilled Worker are:

Principal Applicant Fee $550

Any family member who is over 22 years old or is less than 22 years old but is a spouse or common-law partner $550

Other family members under 22 years old $150

Right of Permanent Resident $975

Applications should be sent to the nearest Canadian High Commission, Consulate or Embassy.
